With the Coronavirus (COVID-19) now running rampant in China and other parts of the world, we are now seeing the shameful dependence we actually have on imported goods from that country. Companies have been quietly importing all of their goods from China in staggering amounts. Even Coca-Cola finally admitted that their artificial sweetener used in Diet Coke is a Chinese imported product. Most people pretty much knew about all the containers pouring in daily from overseas, but they simply chose to look the other way.
The Metal Cast Sign Co. is proud to say that we only use bronze and aluminum that is sourced in the USA. Having said that – since other US manufacturers were dependent on imported metals, they will now be turning to US sources to buy their raw materials. In the world of supply and demand, that will create shortages and, at the very least, drive up domestic prices.
